Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Flash Page Speed Optimizer ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when a merchant installs and uses the App on their Shopify store. By installing the App, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

The App only accesses the data needed to provide speed optimization features:

• Store information: your store domain, shop ID, and primary domain.
• Theme data: theme files we read and the optimization snippet we add, using the access you grant (read_themes, write_themes).
• App configuration: your optimization settings (script lists, lazy-load options, page targeting, bypass parameter), stored as a metafield on your shop.
• Performance data: Google PageSpeed scores for your storefront when you run an analysis.
• Session data: an authentication token required to connect securely to the Shopify Admin API.

We do not collect, store, or sell your customers' personal information. The App does not track individual buyers.

2. How We Use Information

• To apply and manage speed optimizations on your storefront.
• To save and display your configuration and PageSpeed scores.
• To authenticate and communicate with the Shopify Admin API.
• To operate, maintain, and improve the App.

3. Data Storage & Security

Configuration and performance scores are stored as metafields on your Shopify store. Session tokens are stored on our hosting infrastructure (Fly.io). Data is transmitted over HTTPS. We retain data only as long as the App is installed.

4. Third-Party Services

• Shopify — the platform the App runs on; governed by Shopify's privacy policy.
• Google PageSpeed Insights API — your storefront URL is sent to Google to generate a performance score when you request an analysis.
• Fly.io — our hosting provider, where the App server and session data run.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

When you uninstall the App, we remove the optimization snippet and render tag from your enabled themes and delete your session data. App configuration metafields can be removed on request. We honor Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact).

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
